About us....

Coutscroft Morgans began in Indiana over 30 years ago as Amy's mother, Jennifer, worked hard to fulfill her lifelong dream of owning a horse farm.

In 1999, Amy took over managing the horse farm, applying natural horsemanship principles & techniques as she rode, trained the colts that were born on the farm, and shared her love for & knowledge of horses with others.

At 35, Amy has spent her life loving and caring for animals. She has over 10 years experience teaching, coaching and being a youth leader in various capacities. Her love of horses and working with youth will provide your cowgirl or boy with an instructor that has the experience, skills & concern you are looking for. Amy has:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Secondary Education from Purdue University
  • 5 years as a Summer Camp Leader
  • Over 4 years as a Barn Manager
  • 3 years as a 10th grade volleyball coach
  • 3 years teaching High School Spanish
  • 2 years as a Training Manager
Although the Coutscroft herd has had up to 11 horses at one time, Salute & Beauty are the only ones "at home":

T Zee Salute has been a member of the Couts family for over 25 years, having taught each of the 6 kids to ride.  She is a Bay mare, and has had several beautiful babies with the old-style Morgan look, as well as a high-level of intelligence.

Coutscroft Charisma (Beauty) has just recently come "home" all the way from Indiana.  She is a stunning black Morgan mare at 11 years old, and is quite eager to work and play hard.
